Chocolate Bavarian Cream

Blend thoroughly in saucepan;

½ cup sugar
1 envelope unflavored gelatin (1 Tablespoon)
¼ teaspoon salt
2 ¼ cups milk
4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
½ cup semi sweet chocolate pieces

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir until chocolate pieces are entirely or partially melted. Place pan in cold water; cool until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.

Fold in;

1 cup whipped cream, whipped stiff
1 teaspoon vanilla.

Pour into buttered 1-quart mold. Chill until firm (about 4 hours). Unmold on large serving dish. Garnish with Sweetened Whipped Cream. Garnish with fresh fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, or sliced peaches.
