| Chocolate Bread Pudding (Dessert) Preheat oven: 3500 (moderate oven) Place in 1 ½ quart baking dish; 3 cups soft bread crumbs (use 4 cups for a firmer pudding) Blend in; 2 cups milk, scaled with ¼ cup butter Place baking dish in pan of hot water (1'' deep). Bake until silver knife inserted 1'' from edge comes out clean. Serve warm, with or without cream. Preheat oven: 350* (moderate oven) Bake 40 to 45 minutes 6 servings |
