| Chocolate Ice Cream Sodas; Place in tall glass; 3 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup (See Recipe Below) mixed with 1 teaspoon sugar. Fill glass 2/3 full with sparkling water. Add 1 scoop of ice cream; stir vigorously. Fill to top with sparkling water. Chocolate Syrup 1 This is nice to keep on hand for beverages, desserts and sauces. Combine in saucepan; 1 cup cocoa or 4 squares unsweetened chocolate (4 oz.) Stir in; 2 cups cold water Simmer until smooth and thick (about 5 minutes), stirring or beating with rotary beater. Cool and add; 1 Tablespoon vanilla Stir well. Pour into jar. Cover. Store in refrigerator. |
